Catholic Diocese of Arlington - Pontifical Mission Societies - Prayer, Sacrifice, Word and Witness

The Holy Childhood Association

Of the Diocese of Arlington

The Holy Childhood Association of the Arlington Diocese serves both the Catholic schools and the Religious Education programs in all parishes.  The goal of the Holy Childhood Association (HCA) is to help students realize their responsibility to be a missionary right where they are, through prayer and sacrifice, word and witness.

Educational materials are available to all programs and schools through the national HCA website at www.hcakids.org.  Lesson plans, newsletters, photos of missions, activities, prayer cards and prayer services are provided to give teachers and students an opportunity to learn about their brothers and sisters in the missions, to pray for them, sacrifice for them, and to contribute to their well-being and spiritual growth.  Little globe banks are located in every classroom in every school in the diocese of Arlington.  Students contribute throughout the year, send it to our office, and we forward it to the national office in New York, where it is combined with all the children’s contributions from the United States of America, sent to Rome and distributed to the missions of the world serving children. Last year, students in the Arlington Diocese collected over $14,000 for their brothers and sisters in the missions around the world.
